How to Make: Hacienda Swizzle

Following the launch of our updated Drinks Menu last month, we’ve received some fabulous feedback – you’ve been loving our new additions so far, Fazendeiros.

That’s why this week we want to show you how to make our Hacienda Swizzle, one of our favourite eye-catching new delights.

Our striking copper concoction

Our striking copper concoction

With the colder weather now seemingly in full effect, we think that this special cocktail is a nice reminder of summer with its fresh, fruity flavours. Blending a premium, lightly aged rum from Venezuela with classic Yellow Chartreuse and sweet passion fruit, it’s like liquid sunshine.

It’s a relatively simple cocktail to make, containing only 4 ingredients. Don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s too simple – it has a deliciously complex taste.

Ingredients

35ml Santa Teresa Claro rum
15ml Yellow Chartreuse
50ml Passion fruit Puree
15ml Gomme syrup

Method

Add all of the ingredients into a Boston cocktail shaker tin filled with cubed ice, and shake well until the tin turns cold to the touch, ensuring your fruity mixture is ice-cold.

Carefully strain into a copper collins cup filled with crushed ice.

To finish this fantastic looking cocktail, garnish with a sprig of fresh, fragrant mint.
