Fazenda and Northern Ballet


We are delighted to be working with Leeds-based Northern Ballet in connection with their brand new production: Casanova. 

As character sponsors of the man himself, Giacomo Casanova, we are pleased to be supporting their luxurious new production as it heads off on its nationwide tour, which includes two of our home cities – Leeds and Manchester, and a future one, Edinburgh.

Casanova lived every minute in a whirlwind of scandal and excess, but there’s more to the man. Northern Ballet’s original production will expose his sensational story in a spine-tingling spectacle of 18th century decadence.

You might not know that Casanova was a connoisseur of fine food and drink, so we think he’s a perfect match for Fazenda’s sumptuous traditions and heritage.

Fazenda’s Instagram

We’re rolling out some changes on our Instagram account(s) from today, Fazendeiros.

As you might have noticed Fazenda is growing. Our sister brand Picanha was launched late last year, and with a couple more restaurants opening this year – we can’t share much more yet! – we have decided the best way to be able to offer you the best content and also guest support we can we need to change the way in which we post.

We’re not afraid to admit when we make mistakes and we think maybe what seemed like the right decision a few years ago doesn’t really work well now. We’re embracing these changes and trying to roll them out as seamlessly as possible for you, our followers.

We’ll be doing what we did with our Twitter account a couple of years ago and will ‘merge’ all accounts into one. Those inverted commas are very much real because Instagram at the moment doesn’t have a merging service for business accounts so this will be done manually, just like we did on Twitter ::takes deep breath::

Even though our Fazenda Liverpool account is the one with the highest number of followers, our Fazenda Leeds one is the oldest one so that account will become @Fazenda.Group, the ‘new’ centralised account. We will be posting on the Instagram accounts of Fazenda Liverpool & Fazenda Manchester about the change and redirecting our followers so they make the move.

We thought long and hard about this – our Workplace marketing group has been on fire the past couple of weeks! – because we know even though it’s as simple as following the new centralised account, we have to ask our followers to move and some might not hear the news straight away, etc.  For this reason we’ll be posting regularly on the other two accounts reminding followers about the move and won’t deactivate them straight away.

It’s bound to be a process, but we’re certain in the long run this is the best move to be able to share more & better content, and be able to engage better with you all.

Job description:

You will be accountable for generating new business, raising and maintaining brand awareness and developing customer relationships. You will be involved in a range of PR and marketing activities as well as working closely with the Social Media Manager and colleagues across the restaurant.

You will also be expected to work alongside the Front of House team and assist with routine restaurant reception tasks including reservations, managing bookings through the online restaurant diary, greeting and seating guests and ensuring their requirements are met and expectations exceeded.

Role: Marketing Manager

Reports to: Sales and Marketing Director

Job type: Full time

Job Purpose:

To develop and execute an innovative marketing strategy and plan that promotes the brands within the City District portfolio across a broad range of channels including PR, events, print and digital media. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to create an intelligent, market-leading calendar of events and networking opportunities that deliver results, ensure commercial targets are met and maintain and improve online rating positions.

Manage and support the Business Development Managers enabling them to build strong and relevant Business relationships, be established members of networking groups and create opportunities to promote the brands locally. Work closely with the Social Media Manager to ensure the online campaigns are built into the marketing strategy and plan, and that they reflect and support campaigns, events and brand marketing activity.



Marketing strategy and plan:

  • Develop and implement a marketing strategy and detailed plan for each of the brands in the portfolio
  • Develop a suite of detailed analytical reports to review the success of every event / campaign and the annual plan
  • Commercial and industry awareness and knowledge
  • Manage PR for all brands and identify opportunities in media to maximise PR


Client Relationships:

  • Identify potential brands and businesses for our BDMs to target and build relationships
  • Ensure a local network database is created, updated and well maintained
  • Build relationships with industry press


Events & Networking:

  • Represent the brands at industry and networking events
  • Identify opportunities to network and increase awareness of all our brands by guiding our team of BDMs


Brand Development:

  • Develop, increase awareness and grow our brands
  • Police our brands and ensure all PR and advertising is in line with branding
  • Manage branding guidelines


People Management:

  • Responsible for managing site-based Business Development Managers (currently x 3)
  • Develop and guide BDMs to achieve their targets
  • Set and regularly review BDMs targets, strategy and plan of action




  • Marketing degree and / or CIM qualification or an MBA
  • At least 2 years hospitality industry experience – in a Business Development or Events Management and 2 years as a Marketing Manager / Marketing Executive
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns across multiple brands and channels
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Marketing strategy and planning experience including multi-channel and digital marketing
  • Brand management and new brand launch experience
  • Networking and hosting experience
  • Exceptional written and oral skills, attention to detail and the ability to adapt key messages dependent on the target audience
  • Highly organised, personable and flexible in approach to work and working hours
  • Good analytical and strategy skills




Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Huddersfield.


£35k – £40K (depending on experience) + additional benefits and allowances.
